    W9 – Global redesign

    After 13 years W9 knew it was time for a new look.
    One of the most popular French TNT channels turned to Gédéon to create a bold new look that showcases all its programming for diverse audiences.

    So Gédéon started by putting the logotype W9 in the center. Then the excitement begins.

    The logo turns into a slash and moves across the screen revealing words and images that convey emotions and tell the viewers W9 is a channel with no limits.
    It’s signature is 100%, always to the max.

    For the promotions of  W9’s programs Gédéon chose a unique approach that works not only on the TV screen but also on today’s all-important digital platforms.
    We decided to transform the usual pack-shot, which presents all the program information at once. Instead we chose to sequence the program information for a stronger visual impact and to fit perfectly with the digital code.

    The theme music for W9, specially composed by La Plage Records (Casa de Papel, La Vie d’Une Autre, Swim Little Fish Swim, and opening music for Gaumont) revolves around two key concepts :
    A fast tempo translates the DNA of a brand that is always pushing the boundaries (percussion, contemporary tone of rhythm, intense infra-bass).
    Emotion is generated through organic sounds (pulsating heart beats, screams of joy, a sharp intake of breath in response to the intensity of the action).
